About The Bird Man

The Bird Man and his wife Claudette run and manage a fun and interesting business in Franktown, CO. We specialize in creating the right habitat for each and every property/customer. Though some of the products involved may be the same it is more about implementation then anything else.
Anyone can sell you a product like a birdhouse or a birdfeeder. But will your property support it? Where is the best place to put it? What kind of birdseed should you use? Are all birdseed products created equal? Will your property support a bat house? Is there such a thing as making something squirrel proof?
I can go on and on with what we help our customers with everyday. From attracting many different kinds of birds, where to position products, how many and what kind of products will your property support, how to maintain everything, and much more we have answers for.
The Bird Man has spent over thirty years working and playing around birds and bats. He is not an ornithologist, but rather an eco-system expert. Another way to say this is that The Bird Man specializes in putting all the pieces together into a fully functional eco-system that takes little work to maintain.
The Bird Man grew up in Michigan in a little town in the country called West Highland. We spent most of our time as kids around ponds playing with frogs, turtles, snakes, and watching all the birds. After high school The Bird Man attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI. Marquette is in the Upper Peninsula on Lake Superior. A very beautiful place with again lots of wildlife surrounding your every walk, hike, or drive in the car.
After graduating from NMU with a bachelors in Industrial Technology with a minor in Electronics The Bird Man accepted a job with Hewlett-Packard Company in Southern California. This time living in a beach community called Manhattan Beach. Again surrounded by more wildlife, especially shore birds of many kinds.
After twenty years at Hewlett-Packard I decided to leave on my own terms to start a business called The Bird Man. This was back in 2002 and we have not looked back since. Live is great and we are thankful everyday for what we have.
I hope I can help you with all your bird & bat needs and I truly appreciate that you found my website.

Pat "The Bird Man"
